Will long use of Pan D cause weight loss?

Pan D is a Pantoprazole+Domperidone (Oral capsule)

This medicine is available in three forms in the market: oral,oral liquid suspension

and intravenous form for vein injection.

It is a proton pump inhibitor that inhibits stomach acid with domperidone having an antiemetic effect.

Normally prescribed by consultation with a doctor and it is taken during empty stomach.

It helps in relieving pain in the stomach like gastroesophageal disease(GERD).

Side Effects

Long term use of pan d capsule can cause certain side effects and complications such as:

Risk factor of bone fracture increases for use for more than one year.Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause serious nerve damage and impaired brain function for the use of more than 3 years.Atrophic gastritis can cause in the stomach with chronic inflammation due long term use of Pan D capsule.Hypomagnesemia is also observed in long term use of PPI more than 3 years.Severe diarrhea is also one of the side effect of using pan d due to this problem it can cause severe weight loss but its a serious problem in this please consult your doctor.Allergy like nausea,vomiting,fever,rash,confusion,blood in urine,bloating,elevated blood pressure.Kidney damage.Cutaneous lupus erythematosus and systemic lupus erythematosus.Fundic gland polyps.

Overall there are no health benefits in use of Pan D and In terms of weight loss

there are no benefits in taking this medicine specially in losing body fat.

So please consult your doctor if you are facing such above mentioned problems
using the pan d capsule.
